First it was the Australian car shows which poorly imitated scenes from Top Gear, the most recent and blatant of which being Jeremy's escapade in a Porsche whilst being attacked by members of the military to simulate the agility of the car.
This famous scene was copied horribly when an Australian car show, too unpopular to mention, attempted to reincarnate the sketch with dodgy amateur paint ballers and some hatchback.
The trend continues with the latest installment of 60 Minutes copying May's encounter with the Parkour boys to a tee.
Not only did 60 Minutes copy the concept of pitting a car against a couple of 'boys' in an urban jungle in a point to point race, but perhaps most blatantly copied exact scenes from the segment.
The 60 Minutes parkour race begins identical to the original Top Gear segment with two free runners rudely jumping over the bonnet of reporter Liz Hayes' Mitsubishi 380 sedan.
The remainder of the segment continues much along the Top Gear concept with the scene cutting rapidly from the driver to the runners - albeit the humorous 'old man' banter of James May is replaced by the annoying ramblings of Liz Hayes who at one point is even frustrated by a pedestrian crossing the road - at a pedestrian crossing - oh the nerve...
Do yourself a favour, watch the brilliant original Top Gear segment and try to forget Liz Hayes' pathetic copy.
