For all of you who have a television capable of producing 1080P but haven't found anything to utilise its full power, here is a quick answer. Microsoft have been building an extensive library of 1080P content that is free to download and can show you what your TV can do. It is all a part of Microsoft's new innovation known as "WMV-HD".
This will require your 1080P TV to be connected to your computer. The files are quite large, some in excess of 100megabytes for only just over 90 seconds of video. If you do however have the opportunity to have a look at some of these we would highly recommend it. The colours and sheer quality of a 1080 picture is amazing. Click here to go to Microsoft's free 1080P library. There is also 720P content available for HD televisions.
Also, stay tuned for our first comprehensive television review. We are in the process of testing a Samsung M8 40" LCD TV. This television features Full-HD (1080P) bundled with a massive 3 HDMI inputs as well as PC, component and RCA. Also on hand is a brand new Playstation 3 that will also be reviewed. The results of the Playstation 3 when connected to the Samsung are quite spectacular. The review will be posted in the coming weeks.
